Plot:





On his way to a medical convention, Dr Fausto runs into a man who claims the Doctor removed his stomach eight years ago
in a surgical operation. Against all odds, he is still alive. The man turns up repeatedly and promises Fausto to make
all his wishes come true. Reality starts dissolving and Fausto begins to loose control.

Fausto 5.0 cierra la trilogí­a sobre el mito faústico que la famosa compañí­a
dramática catalana La Fura dels Baus inició con el espectáculo teatral Faust versió 3.0 y
ahondó en la ópera La Condenación de Fausto. Con guión de Fernando León, la
pelí­cula cuenta la historia del doctor Fausto, un especialista en enfermos terminales, que interpreta el
portentoso Miguel Ángel Solá. En una Barcelona futurista, Fausto encuentra a Santos, un hombre inquietante
que afirma haber sido paciente suyo y que le propone convertir sus sueños en realidad. Lo que parece seductor
será una pesadilla: muchos de nuestros deseos son perversos y destructivos. El camino que sigue esta interesante
reflexión moral sobre la condición del mal es un sendero escabroso, con secuencias desagradables, y
explí­citamente obscenas, lo cual resiente notablemente lo que hubiera sido sin duda un valioso ejercicio
dramático y argumental y que se queda en un testimonio desesperanzado de nuestra propia fragilidad.
